Rules & Regulations for the Culpin Rec Center
The Recreation Center is owned, operated and insured solely for the use of members and their guests.
No commercial activity of any kind is permitted. Payment to an instructor for professional services is allowed.
Membership Privileges
Members
- The privileges of Recreation Center membership are extended to each Estancia Primera Community Services Association (EPCSA) member property owner) in good standing. A member is in good standing when his/her dues are current.
- These privileges cannot be transferred or donated to a third party. They are strictly limited as stated in this document.
- The EPCSA Board of Directors reserves the right to cancel the Recreation Center privileges of any member who misuses the facilities or willfully disregards the rules.
- The EPCSA member (1 household or lot) is allowed 1 Recreation Center gate entry key card. Lost or stolen cards should be reported to the Recreation Center Manager so the missing key card can be cancelled. Replacement or duplicate cards will be issued for $25 each.
Guests
- Complimentary use of the facilities is extended to immediate family and bona fide houseguests.
- The member must always accompany friends and family who are not houseguests. Abuse of this rule will result in cancellation of Recreation Center privileges.
- Pre-planned special events are limited to the maximum capacity of the facilities and must be pre-arranged with the Recreation Center manager.
Tenants
- Either the member or tenant, but not both concurrently, can use the facilities. A card will not be issued to a tenant or Property manager, without the member’s (owner’s) consent. The member will always be held responsible for the entry card.
Swimming Pool
Summer Hours:
9 AM – 9 PM, Mon-Sat
9 AM – 7 PM, Sundays
After Labor Day:
9 AM – 7 PM everyday
Please sign in at each use, including name and number of guests. Usage helps us determine proper pool maintenance.
Restrooms and showers are open during pool hours. Please shower before entering the pool.
- There is no lifeguard. Children under 14 must have adult supervision at all times. Babies are allowed in the pool area only under constant monitoring of parents. The use of swim pampers (watertight disposable diapers) is mandatory.
- Call 911 in the event of any threatening situation. There is an outside phone for emergency use only near the shower/rest room door.
- Non-house guests should not use the pool more than 3 times during a year. Maximum number of guests is 8 at any one time. Larger poolside gatherings should be pre-arranged with the Recreation Center manager and posted to the Recreation Center sign-up sheets. The pool will not be reserved for exclusive use.
- Swimmers should always wear appropriate swimming attire. Long hair should be securely tied or placed in a swimming cap.
- No glassware of any kind is permitted in the pool area. Beverages in plastic or aluminum are acceptable, however, food should be served on the raised patio areas only.
- No loud music.
- No diving.
- No large flotation devices.
- No climbing the fences.
- No pets in any part of the Recreation Center.
Diving, disruptive behavior, damage/abuse of equipment and area, bringing pets or lending pool cards to non-members will result in loss of pool privileges.
The swimming pool cannot be reserved for exclusive use.
Tennis Court
- The tennis court is to be used for tennis playing only. No other use is allowed.
- There is a court reservation/sign up sheet. Reservations can be made in 1-hour increments, on the half-hour or on the hour. When others are waiting to play, court time is limited to 1 hour. Advance reservations may be made to a maximum of 4 consecutive weeks at any one time.
- Only tennis shoes may be worn on the court. Street shoes and black-soled shoes are not allowed as they damage the court surface.
- All litter must be removed from the court.
- Children under 14 must have adult supervision at all times.
Racquetball Court
- The Board of Directors must approve use of the court for any purpose other than racquetball.
- Street shoes and black-soled shoes are not allowed as they damage the court surface.
- Players must wear eye-safety gear.
- Children under 14 must have adult supervision at all times.
- When others are waiting to play, the court time is limited to 1 and one half hours.
Club Rooms
- The facility cannot be used for commercial purposes. Clubrooms may not be used after 9 pm except by pre-arrangement with the Recreation Center manager.
- Clubroom use must be scheduled with the Recreation Center Manager. Scheduling is on a first come first served basis. A $100 damage deposit is required. This deposit is refunded when the clubroom keys are returned and the building is left clean and in good order.
- The user is solely responsible for clean up after use.
- Any costs incurred by the Association for cleaning or repairs will be assessed to the user.
